Product Information
The Omega has been Vango’s best-selling Trek tent for over 8 years and is the perfect companion for ‘D of E’ expeditions. The reason why it is ideal for long and shorter trips is the large living space which can be used for storage or a place to shelter when the weather isn’t great. As the tent comes complete with a clip in riser groundsheet for the porch section, you can be assured that you have a base away from the elements. The Omega is available in two sizes: a generously sized two berth (200) and a more compact three berth (300). By far and away the 300 model is the more popular size as it has a bigger weight per person ratio and can be broken up into smaller parts so everyone can share the load if needed.
The Omega now sits in Vango’s new Earth Trek Collection which has been designed to be environmentally friendly and durable. The entire range is made from single use plastics and every tent has an equivalent plastic bottle total to help show what Vango can create from just a small amount of waste. The Protex Eco fabric has a waterproof rating of 3,000mm HH and UV protection factor of UPF30+. The material has been designed to be lightweight and durable as we have come to know and love from Vango’s Trekking tents.
The flysheet and inner pitch together to reduce the erecting time and make the tent more simplistic. The Colour Coded PowerLite T7001-T6 Alloy Poles can be easily identified when you start to pitch your tent and because the poles are Alloy it helps to make a lightweight pack while retaining a robust structure. Other key features on the Omega are twin access doors positioned on each side of the tent, so you have easy access regardless of which way the weather is turning. One of the doors also has a mesh door situated behind it to give a bug free barrier while increasing ventilation. There are multiple reflective points on the tent and if that wasn’t enough there are reflective guylines as well with easy adjustable line-lok runners.
It is easy to see why the Vango Omega is a trekker’s favourite tent and with the new update in terms of the fabric, we feel that this is an improvement on an already great tent.
